I’m 14 years old, 120 lbs., and 5’6?. I’ve always found an interest in MMA training and being a UFC fighter has seemed like a totally awesome thing to me. I just need to know when is the

right time for me to start training.Outrider says:January 12, 2011 at 5:09 pm

Now. Go sign up for martial arts and get started to build up a foundation in something.

Well your body seems pretty average the first step is to go and join
a good martial arts school some schools offer more than one martial art
so join one and from there its work train ache pain and success

oh wow, i am gonna be the outcast here.

i would concentrate on school, maybe do some wrestling at school, or even some jiu-jitsu classes. your body is still developing, and if you decide one day to really take your training to a higher level, you will learn how you get your body ready to take a beating both inside and out. it is fun, it is rewarding, but it is also a process. get some ground game as a base, and have fun in school.

whatever you do, stay humble. that is not something i see very often in guys your age.

If you want to study MMA. Learn a system or style first, get grounded. I studied a Traditional ju jitsu and judo for years, and it translates very well to MMA. Brazilian ju jitsu would be excellent as well. Hope this helps.
