This is a great little video from Chuckl Liddell talking about a simple MMA Training drill where one person works defense and the other trys to take them down. A great mma drill for both parties.
Things to bear in mind are the power level - there is benefit in both working with power as well as keeping it light so that you can develop the techniques. So keep in mind what your goals are and tailor the training based on that.
